    My first 200

    Monday, February 5, 2007, 10:41 AM [General]

I entered the season with a 119 average...currently its a 142 (still sucks).  I have bowled 2 -  200 games but they were never on league night.  Last week, my first game I BARELY broke a 100.  I had a headache so bad that I couldnt even see my mark, but somehow, and for whatever reason, the "pin god" was good to me.  Second game I hit a 211.  I was in shock...maybe too much shock to bowl game 3 because I finished that with a 134.  It didnt matter tho....I got my first "recorded" 200 game and that was enough to make me forget how poorly I had bowled that night.

Keep on bowling. It took me a while to get my first deuce, when I started bowling, and now I get them all the time... Enjoy yourself. I think sometimes it is more mental than anything. I live by the motto BOWLING IS FUN!!!!

Way to go Becki! You'll find out sometimes, when you're not feeling well is usually the time(s) you bowl the best. I've been there, done that! You can't complain about having one 200 game for a night. That's often difficult for even the amateur/semi-pro bowlers.
